Born and bred in a small New England town, I am convinced that I know something about everything, and that my opinion matters. If only to me. Well, you'll see what I mean. And I love to knit, so you'll see what kind of things I'm doing when I should be vacuuming the living room.

Cleaning the Garage

You know how when you go out to clean the garage and you open the door and you see all the shit in there and you realize what a huge job it's going to be so you just close the door and go back in the house and drink a beer and see what's on TV instead?

That's what blogging is like lately.

So much stuff to report, so many FO's, so little time.

I don't know where to start, so I just haven't started.

How about I start with family stuff, since I have yet to photograph any knitting?

Bug's been bugging me about getting a haircut and her ears pierced, like, FOREVER. So I broke down and made the appointment. And voila! Before, after, and her new accessories.

And because Bobo needs a little attention too, a gratuitous EmmaBoCheeseball shot.
Dave was baptized last weekend. He behaved like a wee angel in church...not a peep from him the whole time. 'Course when we got home he completely melted down from the excitement and all, but it ended in a really long nap so all was right with the world once again. He's also started "solid" foods. I don't really consider rice cereal to be all that "solid". He seems to like it. It makes his tummy giggle. I debate actually feeding the kid at all. He's not quite four months old and is wearing 9 month clothes. And they fit. Not baggy or loose or too long in the legs. They fit. He's a big fella.Oh, and I'm recovering from a kidney infection. I guess I sought help early enough because I'm not in any pain to speak of. Apparently if you let them go, it can get ugly. I'm on a 10 day course of Cipro and it's working wonders. I'm tired, but I feel fine otherwise.

In knitting news, I'm trying to knit reusable grocery bags out of plastic grocery bags. It's more trouble than it's worth, I think. I'll let you know as it progresses.

Oh! I did remember to photograph an FO! I made Dave a hat for our bus stop run in the morning. Di'Ve Zenith, 100% washable wool. I made one before this, but it was too big, so I undid the top and knit a second one right from the first one. This one was a bit short, so I added earflaps. Ta da!
